How to organise a corporate photo shoot in Dubai: team group photo in an office lobby

Good organisation saves more time than good equipment. This second part shows how to organise a corporate photo shoot in Dubai that runs smoothly, from the schedule to the final files.

You will find a five-point checklist, what to ask a photographer, how to handle image rights and consent, and how to keep the energy right on the day.

How to organise a corporate photo shoot in Dubai: the checklist

Task What to do
Choose the date early Avoid peak weeks and send a calendar invitation so nobody books a meeting over their slot
Create a schedule A fixed slot per person, with a buffer, so the day never stalls
Brief on clothing Solid colours, no strong patterns, comfortable outfits and a spare jacket or shirt
Prepare the space A clean background, enough room, a quiet corner for portraits and access agreed with building security
Agree on retouching Natural touch-ups are standard, heavy retouching is not, and it is agreed with each person

How to choose the photographer

Look at portraits of real people, not only of models. The skill is in making a shy accountant look relaxed in ten minutes.

Before you book, ask three questions:

  • How many final images per person are included?
  • How fast are the files delivered?
  • In which formats: web size, high resolution for print, square and wide crops?

Image rights and consent

Make sure your company has the right to use the images on your website, social media, brochures and in the press.

Make sure people have agreed to appear, too. A short written consent from each person avoids problems when someone leaves the company.

On the day: keep the energy light

Start with the most confident people. Show everyone a preview on the screen so they relax, and allow a second attempt for anyone who is unhappy.

Plan a short break between groups, because tired faces show in the final images.

When a professional team is worth it

A professional team is worth it when portraits represent your brand to clients or investors, when you have more than a handful of people to photograph, or when you want a style that matches your brand identity.

A specialist handles lighting, directing and retouching. Your staff lose an hour each, not a whole day, and you receive images that look like one set. In short:

  • Consistent team portraits build trust before anyone speaks to your sales team.
  • Choose one style, one background and one light, so new hires can be added later.
  • Prepare people with a schedule, clothing advice and a short briefing.
  • Check rights, formats and retouching rules before the shoot day.

FAQ

How long does a portrait take per person?

It depends on the style and the number of looks. In the illustrative example in Part 1, the firm planned 15 minutes per person.

What should my team wear?

Solid colours, no strong patterns and comfortable outfits, with a spare jacket or shirt in case of a mark or a wrinkle.

Can new hires be photographed later in the same style?

Yes, if the background, light and framing are noted on the first shoot. That is the main reason to plan one consistent style.

Can the shoot happen in our office?

Often yes, with a clean background, enough space and a quiet corner. Agree access with building security in advance.

Who owns the photos?

Agree in writing that your company can use the images across your website, social media, brochures and press, and collect each person's consent.
