Google Ads and Meta Ads Expert in Dubai: How the Platforms Work and What a Good Set-up Looks Like (Part 1)

Looking for a Google Ads and Meta Ads expert in Dubai? Paid advertising can bring clients within days, or burn a budget just as fast.

The difference is rarely the platform. It is the person who sets it up, tracks it and improves it every week. This first part explains what each platform really does, the mistakes that waste most budgets, and what a healthy set-up looks like before you spend a single dirham.

Two platforms, two different jobs

Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) are often sold together, but they work differently.

On Google, people search for something: "dentist in Dubai Marina", "office fit-out company". They already have a need, so your advert meets a ready buyer.

On Meta, people are scrolling, not searching. Your advert must catch attention and create interest before it can sell.

Platform Its job Best for
Google Ads Captures existing demand Services people look for actively, urgent needs
Meta Ads Creates demand and keeps your brand in front of people Visual products, offers, events, remarketing to site visitors
Together Meta introduces your brand, Google collects those who then search for you Remarketing brings back the undecided

An expert knows when to use one, the other or both. They do not push you to spend on both from day one if your budget cannot support it.

A simple rule helps. If people already type your service into Google, start where the demand is. If nobody searches for what you sell yet, you first need to be seen, and Meta is usually the better place to start.

What the Dubai audience changes

Dubai is not one audience. Residents come from many countries, speak many languages and use their phones for almost everything.

  • Languages: the same offer may need an English, an Arabic and sometimes a Russian or Hindi version.
  • WhatsApp: it is often the preferred way to make contact, so a WhatsApp button can matter more than a long form.
  • Areas: a clinic in Jumeirah and a clinic in Deira do not speak to the same people, even with the same service.
  • Timing: the working week, Ramadan and the summer months change when people search and when they are ready to buy.

A good expert builds these details into the campaigns from the start, instead of copying a set-up that worked somewhere else.

The most common mistakes

They are easy to recognise:

  • Campaigns with no conversion tracking, so nobody knows which advert produces calls.
  • One generic advert sent to everyone.
  • Traffic sent to the home page instead of a page built for the offer.
  • Reports full of clicks and impressions, with no mention of leads or sales.

Illustrative scenario

Imagine a Dubai physiotherapy clinic that spends a few thousand dirhams a month on ads. It receives many clicks but few bookings.

A review shows that calls and WhatsApp clicks were never tracked, the Google campaign targets very broad terms, and the Meta advert sends people to the home page.

After the tracking is fixed, the budget is moved to the searches that lead to appointments, and a dedicated booking page is created. The clinic can now see the cost of each enquiry and decide where to invest. (Illustrative example, not a real client.)

What a Google Ads and Meta Ads expert in Dubai sets up first

Before any budget is spent, five building blocks should be in place, in this order:

Step What happens Why it matters
1. Goals Agree what a good lead or sale is Everyone judges the campaigns on the same thing
2. Tracking Measure calls, forms and WhatsApp clicks You see which advert brings real enquiries
3. Campaign build Separate campaigns by service, language and area Each message reaches the right people
4. Weekly optimisation Cut what does not work, push what does The budget moves to the best results
5. Cost per lead Report the real cost of each enquiry You decide where to invest next
Remember: if step 2 is missing, every other step is guesswork. Ask to see the tracking working before campaigns go live.

Creative and landing page: the other half of results

A strong expert works with good copy, clear images or video, and a landing page that loads fast on a phone. If the advert is excellent but the page is slow, the budget is wasted.

The landing page should repeat the promise of the advert, show the offer in a few seconds and make contact easy: a call button, a WhatsApp button and a short form.

This is why the best results come from a team that handles advertising, content and website together, rather than from a freelancer who only touches the ad account.

In Part 2, we explain how to recognise a real Google Ads and Meta Ads expert, the questions to ask before you hire and what the first 90 days should look like.
